From the day you were born, you have been on a quest. You have been searching for something more, because deep down inside, you have a sense that life must have some kind of meaning and purpose beyond mere existence. Maybe you’ve even wondered if you’re the only person who feels this way.

You aren’t. Deep down inside, we are all searching.

Whether you are young or old, rich or poor, healthy or sick, male or female—you were designed to know God in a deep and personal way. You were made to have a relationship with God, through His Son, Jesus Christ.

How do you start a relationship with God?

Realize that you are a sinner. No matter how good a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person. That is because we are all sinners. We all fall short of God’s desire for us to be holy. The Bible says, “No one is good—not even one” (Romans 3:10 NLT). This is because we can not become who we are supposed to be without Jesus Christ.

Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you.The Bible tells us, “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while were still sinners” (Romans 5:8 NLT). This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it.

Repent of your sin.The Bible tells us, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away” (Acts 3:19 NLT). The word repent means to change our direction in life. Instead of running from God, we can run toward Him.

Receive Jesus Christ into your life.Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church on Sunday. It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door [of your life] and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in. . .” (Revelation 3:20 NKJV).

If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.

If you just prayed that prayer and meant it, Jesus Christ has now taken residence in your heart! Your decision to follow Christ means God has forgiven you and that you will spend eternity in heaven. The Bible tells us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9 NKJV).

To put your faith in action, and grow in your relationship with God, here are some important first steps:

Read the Bible

Pray to God

Go to church

Who Really Loves Me?
The Bible tells us that God loves us. In John 3:16 it says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.“ There are a few facts that are unique about the love that God has for each one of us. First of all, the word love here speaks of an unconditional love. This means that there are no conditions that first have to be met in order for Him to love me. He loves me and I never have to do anything to earn it. 1 John 4:10 says, “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.“ It gives me great comfort in knowing that Jesus loves me just because I am me. Second, He demonstrated His love by sending His own Son to die for me. This gives me great assurance because He was willing to give the greatest sacrifice in order to have a personal relationship with me for all eternity.

“For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all,
then all died;” (2 Corinthians 5:14).

To Receive Christ do the following:

Admit, “I am a sinner.”

Confess and be willing to turn from your sin.

Believe, by faith that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross.

Receive, through prayer, Jesus Christ into your heart and receive eternal life.

Pray, with a sincere heart, something like this…

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me for my sins and cleanse me by Your blood. I accept You by faith as my personal Lord and Savior. Give me a thirst for Your Word and Help me to follow You all of my days. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

What have you just done?
By accepting Jesus into your life as your personal Lord and Savior, you have established a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Before confessing Him by faith, you were an enemy of God because your sins had separated you from Him. The Bible says, “Your iniquities [sins] have separated you from your God… “ (Isaiah 59:2). Now, by asking Jesus into your heart, you are free from the bondage of sin and are under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Before accepting Jesus you were ruled by sin, but now the Spirit will rule you. Romans 8:5 says, “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.”

WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:21).

WE BELIEVE there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30)

WE BELIEVE in the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:34-35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return to earth in power and glory. (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16)

WE BELIEVE in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that all are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God’s grace, through faith alone, are we saved. (John 3:16-19; 5:24; Romans 3:23, 5:8-9;
Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5)

WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are not unto the resurrection of damnation.
(John 5:28-29)

WE BELIEVE in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28)

WE BELIEVE in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20;
Ephesians 4:30, 5:18)

The judges rule that the 38 million citizens in the State of California do not have the right to govern themselves any longer. Using the court bench to implement their extreme liberal partisan ideology the judges have thrown out California’s State Constitution and the citizens right to govern in their own state which is a God given right that no judge(s) can take away.

The preamble to the California State Constitution reads “We, the people of California, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, in order to secure its blessings, do establish this Constitution.” It is clear that the people of California establish the State Constiution based on our freedom to do so from God and not from men. It is our freedom to establish the California Constitution and to amend it accordingly.

What these judges have done in this ruling is eliminate our right to freedom and the right of the pepole to govern their own state. Not only is this dangerous but it will set up precedent that anytime a judge feels he personally disagrees with the voters decision he will have the final say and not the people.

What is at stake here is our very freedom given to us from Almighty God that no federal judge or any man can take away. Overthrowing the will of over 540,000 voters who voted for the passing of Prop 8 these judges have in essence declared themselves the new rulers of the State of California without a State Constitution and stripping the right of of California citizens and voters to govern themselves. Blatantly ignoring the God given right of the voters and citizens of California to govern themselves is federally unconstitutional.

Californians are now considering taking their state back from the judges by petitioning the United States Congress to charge the two federal judges with Articles of Impeachment and have them tried in the Congress.

The Articles of Impeachment would include unlawful ruling against California’s State Constitution in the Prop 8 case, allowing their partisan leanings to affect their court decisions and bringing disrepute to the federal judiciary.

Califonians are also considering putting forward another amendment and placing on the ballot,

Proposition SSS – Separation of Sex and State

California’s State Constiution grants rights to all its citizens equally. Those rights are not granted based on your sex life or who you have sex with. In order to protect our rights based on being citizens and not based on our sex lives and to ensure the separation of our personal sex lives from the State, the State shall make no law respecting an establishment of same sex.
